How to Join

Any student who has reviewed the New Voices For Youth Overview and Objectives summary and completed a New Voices For Youth Application is eligible.

They then attend a 16-hour production training program at the Media Center in Palo Alto (paid for by NVFY) where they learn everything they need to know to produce a television show.

Once trained, students work in teams of 8 – 10 students in weekly
meetings at their local high school or college campus to create new shows. They agree to volunteer a minimum of 4 hours per month.

Some team and League mentors work in outreach projects with other community groups who want a "voice" for their student issues. Girls for Change and G.I.R.L.s are two such groups.
